60-year-old woman killed by suspected DUI driver in Wapato

WAPATO, WA – A 60-year-old woman was killed when a suspected drunk driver rammed into her car on northbound State Route 97 on Wednesday night.

Denise Yallup of Toppenish was struck from behind by Jose Pacheco, 32, of Wapato. Both vehicles rolled in the collision and Yallup died at the scene, according to YakTriNews. Charges against Pacheco are pending as he was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
