YAKIMA, WA – A man lost his arm in a train accident in Yakima on Wednesday morning, according to News Talk KIT.

The victim was discovered around 5 a.m. at the intersection of Gordon Road and North 6th Street. A homeless man, who has yet to be publicly identified, was sleeping over railroad tracks when a train passed over him and cut off his arm.

The victim may have been under the influence when he fell asleep, according to the report.

The victim was taken by emergency crews to the hospital, where he is expected to recover.
