Sunnyside crash kills one, injures five Sunday morning
Request Free ConsultationSUNNYSIDE, WA – One person died Sunday morning after failing to stop at a stop sign and colliding with a truck that was driving through the intersection.
According to KIMA News, the driver of a passenger truck drove through a stop sign while heading south on Scoon Road. The pickup hit a second truck that was in the intersection while driving down Independence Road.
The driver of the truck that ran the stop sign died at the scene.
Deputies from the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene around 11:30 a.m. and reported that three people in the first truck and two people in the struck truck were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
At this time, the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office does not believe that drugs or alcohol were factors in this accident.
