Gig Harbor collision reduced traffic to one lane on SR 16

GIG HARBOR, WA – A car accident on State Route 16 westbound near Wollochet Drive Northwest reduced traffic to one lane on Thursday morning, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

KOMO journalist Paris Jackson tweeted a traffic camera still image from the accident. No injuries were reported, but commuters were encouraged to use alternate routes as this accident was backing up traffic early Thursday morning.

It is not clear what caused the accident.
