Pedestrian hospitalized after being struck by vehicle in Bellevue

BELLEVUE, WA – A male pedestrian was taken to an area hospital after getting hit by a car at the intersection of NE 20th St and 140th Ave NE.

Collision investigators say the car was traveling eastbound on N.E. 20th and turned onto 140th and struck the pedestrian. The male victim is on his way to the hospital. pic.twitter.com/Xan2ZCCQcK

Bellevue Police reported the incident via Twitter at 7:30 a.m. Monday. Officials call the accident “serious” and reported that the victim was going to be hospitalized for his injuries. It appears the driver stayed at the scene for questioning.

The intersection was closed until about 12 noon on Monday while officials investigated.
