Semi-truck loses control, crashes into Wenatchee River near Leavenworth

Washington State Trooper John Bryant reported via Twitter that the trailer of the truck was empty and the driver was not injured. The semi-truck was driving west on US 2 when it lost control and crashed down an embankment into the river.
Bryant said the highway may need to be temporarily closed in both directions while crews remove the truck from the river.
