56-year-old woman dies after being ejected from car in Wapato crash

WAPATO, WA – A 56-year-old woman died in a single-vehicle crash on North Track Road just east of East Branch Road last Wednesday, the Yakima Herald reports.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash and the victim was the only occupant of her car. The victim’s car rolled over in the accident, ejecting her from the vehicle. The victim, Julie Grommesch, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Yakima County Sheriff’s Office suspects Grommesch may have been impaired.
