Driver hospitalized after crashing car into home in Renton

RENTON, WA – Authorities say a driver suffered serious injuries when his car crashed into a residence in Renton on Thursday morning.

According to Seattle Times, the accident happened at 2:36 a.m. on the 17200 block of Benson Drive. 

Crews with the Renton Regional Fire Authority responded to the scene, where they found the motorist pinned in the wrecked vehicle. 

The driver was extricated and then rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
