WSDOT reports collision on I-90 EB near Rainier Ave

SEATTLE, WA – A two-vehicle accident is blocking the right two lanes of eastbound I-90 past Rainier Avenue S, the Washington State Department of Transportation reports.

The incident happened shortly before 6 a.m. today, apparently early enough for it not to have seriously impacted rush hour traffic. Traffic camera footage shows emergency vehicles on the scene by 6:30 a.m., still without significant traffic buildup.

While it is unclear at this time whether anyone was injured in the crash, we will monitor the news and update this blog if possible.
