Suspect hospitalized after police chase ends in crash

GIG HARBOR, WA – A suspect was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure when a police chase on westbound SR-16 ended in a PIT maneuver and subsequent collision on Sunday.

According to Washington State Patrol District 1 PIO Trooper Robert Reyer, the chase came to a dramatic conclusion on westbound SR-16 just past 24th Street NW at about 8 p.m. on May 2. Traffic was moved to the right lane and shoulder until about 8:45 p.m.

No serious injuries have been reported.
