Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after crash near Enumclaw

ENUMCLAW, WA — A 47-year-old Federal Way man was injured Friday afternoon in a motorcycle crash near Enumclaw, according to Federal Way Mirror.

Troopers with Washington State Patrol responded to the accident close to the intersection of 196th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 436th Street at around 3:42 p.m.

The man was traveling eastbound on his bike when he swerved in an attempt to dodge slowing traffic, which caused him to strike a sign and eject from the vehicle. He was reported by WSP to have not been wearing a helmet approved by the US Department of Transportation.

The man was taken by airlift to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where his condition is currently undisclosed.

WSP said they do not suspect impairment played a role in the crash.
