The blast occurred near 6th Avenue North and Glen Street at around 11:40 a.m., sending debris flying in the area.
Police and fire crews were dispatched to the site, where they arrived to find the truck with its sides and top blown out and its cargo smoldering. The fire was managed and extinguished.
Despite the significant damage to the truck, no injuries were reported. No one was in or near the vehicle at the time of the incident.
Authorities said propane tanks left inside the vehicle caused the explosion, which was determined to be accidental.
