1 dead, 2 hospitalized after 4-vehicle crash on Hwy 2 in Chelan County

CHELAN COUNTY, WA – One person was killed, and another two were taken to the hospital following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 2 in Chelan County yesterday evening.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened on U.S. 2, near milepost 86, about 13 miles west of Leavenworth, before 6:39 p.m., when four vehicles collided.

One person was pronounced dead after the crash.

An additional two victims were taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The roadway was closed from Coles Corner to Leavenworth as authorities cleaned up and investigated the scene. By 10:30 p.m., the roadway was reopened.
