Passenger seriously hurt in suspected DUI rollover crash in Kitsap County

GORST, WA (KITSAP COUNTY) – A passenger was severely injured during a crash involving a suspected drunk driver on State Route 16 this afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.

#KitsapCounty: The EB SR 16 off ramp to SR 166 is blocked as #WSP troopers investigate a one-car rollover collision.

The driver is in custody for suspicion of #DUI. The passenger was transporter to the hospital with serious injuries.

The crash occurred on the eastbound off-ramp from SR-16 to State Route 166 at about 2:30 p.m., when a single vehicle crashed and overturned.

A passenger in the car was taken to the hospital to receive treatment for severe wounds.

The driver is suspected of having been under the influence and was taken into police custody.

The off-ramp was blocked as a result of the crash.
