Woman facing charges in alleged street racing crash that killed sister
Request Free ConsultationABERDEEN, WA – A 24-year-old is facing multiple charges following a suspected street racing crash in Aberdeen that claimed the life of her sister and caused injury to multiple juveniles early yesterday morning.
According to KOMO News, the crash occurred at about 1:20 a.m. in the 500 block of N Park Street, as a 24-year-old driver was reportedly driving home from a party with her two sisters and two young children in the vehicle.
She is said to have decided to race another vehicle, going over 70 mph as she hit a curve. Her vehicle then collided with a concrete structure, then overturned multiple times.
Her 20-year-old sister was ejected during the crash. She was taken to the hospital, and then was later pronounced dead.
The driver’s 17-year-old sister, a 5-year-old girl, and a 2-year-old boy were also taken to the hospital.
The driver was taken into police custody on charges of vehicular homicide.
She is suspected of having been under the influence at the time.
