Fatal injuries reported in crash on SR-99 near Fife
Request Free ConsultationTACOMA, WA — Fatal injuries were reported Friday evening in a collision on state Route 99 in East Tacoma near Fife, according Washington State Department of Transportation.

The crash happened on a stretch of SR-99 near Johnson Road and was first reported by WSDOT at 5:12 p.m.
Washington State Patrol troopers, maintenance crews and other first responders were at the scene.
No further information has been shared regarding the circumstances around the crash, or the number of people killed or injured in the crash.
Much of SR-99 was shut down as traffic was diverted to only one lane in each direction. The incident also caused a traffic backup on Interstate 5 southbound as more commuters avoided SR-99 during peak Friday evening rush hour.
At 6:33 p.m., WSDOT reported the collision cleared.
