According to Washington State Patrol, a trooper saw a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria speeding on the highway near Silverdale Way and attempted to pull over the vehicle. The driver sped away and the trooper decided not to pursue him.
While trying to elude the trooper, the speeding driver sideswiped a 2014 Subaru Forester driven by a 39-year-old woman. The teen’s Ford then veered to the left of the roadway and collided with a Jersey barrier in the center divider before rolling and hitting a 2001 Dodge Durango. The impact of the crash caused the Durango to roll over.
The driver of the Durango, a 31-year-old woman, along with her passengers, two women aged 29 and 63, were transported to St. Michael Medical Center-Silverdale with undisclosed injuries.
No other injuries to the other parties were reported.
WSP said the teen driver is expected to be charged with “eluding, hit-and-run, and third-degree driving with a suspended license.”
No further information has been released.
