Multi-car wreck blocks two lanes on I-5 NB near downtown Tacoma

PIERCE COUNTY, WA — A multi-vehicle collision Tuesday night closed two right lanes on Interstate 5 near the Lincoln International District in Tacoma, reports Washington State Department of Transportation.

Updated: Collision on I-5 NB at MP 132.86 near S “M” St beginning at 6:45 pm on Nov. 23, 2021 until further notice. The two right lanes are blocked.

The accident took place on the northbound interstate at South M Street, just north of State Route 16, shortly before 6:45 p.m.

Drivers were warned of delays in the area as emergency personnel responded to the scene.
