Federal Way, Washington – Woman Killed, Child Injured After Car Crashes into Tree

Federal Way, Washington (November 24, 2019) – A woman was killed and a child injured after their car crashed into a tree on 34200 block of 1st Avenue South on Sunday morning. The woman driving the car was not wearing a seat belt and died in the crash. A 9 year-old boy in the vehicle sustained minor injuries and has been taken to a hospital for treatment.

The incident started around 10 a.m. when officers a car being recklessly driven at the 500 block of South 348th Street. officers attempted to stop the car, but the woman continued driving. She later lost control of her vehicle, leading to the crash. The incident is being investigated by the Washington State Patrol.

This includes following road safety, making sure one’s vehicle is stable and ready for the road, and making sure that one is not under the influence of drugs or alcohol before getting behind the wheel. Additionally, one should take extra caution on roads where there are possible hazards.
