Burien, Washington – Pedestrian Killed After Getting Struck by Vehicle on State Route 509

Burien, Washington (January 11, 2020) – A man died after getting struck by a car on State Route 509 at South 112th Street on Saturday morning. According to the report from KIRO7 News, the victim died on the scene, and no identifying information about them has been released. The driver was not reported to be injured in the incident.

According to the information from Washington State Patrol, the driver was heading north State Route 509. The pedestrian attempted to cross the road and did not grant the driver the right of way, resulting in a collision. It is not known if drugs or alcohol are a factor in the collision. The incident remains under investigation.

Avoiding accidents not only prevents loss, damage, injuries and death to one’s self, but also on other people in the surroundings.
