Spokane, Washington – One Person Hospitalized Following Single Car Crash

Spokane, Washington (April 3, 2020) – One person was taken to the hospital following a single car crash on the Interstate 90 off ramp at North Hamilton Street on Friday morning. According to the article from KHQ News, the driver has been taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Update: According to an article from The Spokesman-Review, the driver’s name has been released as  year-old Erin K. Chapman, a 42 year-old from Spokane. Chapman failed to negotiate the curve while exiting the eastbound ramp around 3:20 a.m. on Friday morning. Her vehicle struck a barrier and careened into the barrier on the other side, eventually blocking both lanes of the ramp. The Washington State Patrol determined that she was driving too fast and has also cited her for driving with a suspended license. The incident caused the exit ramp to be fully blocked.

This includes following road safety, making sure one’s vehicle is stable and ready for the road, and making sure that one is not under the influence of drugs or alcohol before getting behind the wheel. Additionally, one should take extra caution on roads where there are possible hazards.
