Issaquah, Washington (April 5, 2020) – A chase involving a stolen car ended in a crash at the Sunset Way exit of Interstate 90 on Sunday evening. According to an article from KOMO News, a female passenger from the vehicle was caught, but the driver remains on the loose. Fortunately, no civilian vehicles appear to have been involved and no other injuries have been reported in the incident.

According to information from the Washington State Patrol, troopers were informed of an erratic driver on westbound Interstate 90 approaching Issaquah. Troopers found the vehicle and saw that it was a reported stolen vehicle, prompting a high-speed chase. The driver ended up crashing the car at East Sunset Way, and fled on foot. The suspect’s name has not yet been released.

In rollover collisions, the car will come to rest on its side or roof, resulting in a dangerous situation which passengers might need to be extricated from. In side collisions, the greatest risk comes to the passenger on the particular side that received the impact. No matter the type of accident, all crashes are bound to cause a dreadful situation for all involved.
