Accident blocks right shoulder of SR 167 and 180th St

RENTON, WA – An accident on southbound State Route 167 near 180th Street blocked the right shoulder Monday morning.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, the incident occurred around 7:54 a.m.

WSDOT traffic footage shows only one vehicle stopped on the shoulder with firefighters responding.

It is unclear whether anyone was injured in this incident, or even how many cars were involved.

First responders also extinguished a small brush fire in this area at about the same time as the car was stopped on the shoulder. It is not clear whether the two incidents were related.

Crews cleared the area by 8:14 a.m.
