Collision on US 2 at Lewis St. blocks roadway in Monroe

MONROE, WA – US Highway 2 at Lewis St was blocked on Tuesday afternoon due to a collision involving two vehicles, the Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue reports.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY:

Eastbound Hwy 2 at Lewis St in Monroe is blocked due to a motor vehicle collision. It is expected to be blocked for a while.

Please use alternative routes to get around. You can divert to N. Kelsey to get around the incident.

The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. It is not clear what caused the accident, and Snohomish Fire and Rescue did not report any injuries. However, the road was closed while officials investigated.
