Crash blocks lanes and offramp on I-5 north at 164th Street

LYNNWOOD, WA – A vehicle accident on Interstate 5 was blocking multiple lanes on Tuesday afternoon, according to a traffic alert through WSDOT on Twitter.

The accident happened in the northbound lanes near 164th Street SW shortly before 4 p.m. The incident appeared to involve more than one vehicle.

Firetrucks were used to block the two righthand lanes and the offramp to 164th St. The area was reopened at about 4:20 p.m.

There is no word on whether anyone was injured in the accident, however, an ambulance did respond to the scene.
