The jackknifed semi came to a stop in a right-hand ditch on SR-101 southbound at Mud Bay Road and was reported at 8:38 p.m.
The trailer axle assembly was blocking the right lane, and an hours-long clearance time was projected by the trooper, citing logistical challenges getting the trailer upright again.
Traffic was diverted through the left lane as the right lane was alternately shut down and re-opened during clean-up.
No other information was reported.
