Man dead in Sunnyside accident linked to speeding, DUI
Request Free ConsultationSUNNYSIDE, WA – A rollover accident in Yakima County Friday night that was likely related to alcohol resulted in the death of one man, according to Yak Tri News.
The accident happened a little after midnight near the intersection of Washout and Vanbelle Roads as the driver of a 2005 Ford Focus drove the vehicle down the roadway at high rates of speed.
The driver, 33-year-old Fernando Esqueda, of Sunnyside, then lost control of the vehicle as it traveled off the roadway and rolled over an unspecified number of times.
Esqueda, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was found outside the vehicle and was taken to the hospital with severe wounds. He later died there of his injuries.
Esqueda was reportedly under the influence when the accident happened.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
