Man hurt in wreck involving two pickup trucks on SR-300 near Belfair
Request Free ConsultationMASON COUNTY, WA — A 61-year-old man was hospitalized Wednesday night after a two-vehicle accident on State Route 300 near Belfair, reports MasonWebTV.
Washington State Patrol said the collision occurred on the eastbound highway (North Shore Road) near milepost 1.1 at approximately 7:00 p.m.
According to a preliminary investigation, the man was behind the wheel of a 1976 pickup truck going east when his vehicle ran past the fog line. He overcorrected the pickup, causing it to veer into the westbound lanes, where he struck a westbound 2018 pickup truck.
The driver of the 1976 pickup suffered undisclosed injuries and was transported to St. Michaels Hospital in Bremerton.
WSP said the driver of the 2018 truck, a 54-year-old man, was uninjured in the crash.
Both trucks sustained total damages in the accident and were towed from the site.
