Pedestrian killed by train while on tracks in downtown Puyallup

PIERCE COUNTY, WA — Police responded to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident Thursday morning involving a moving train in downtown Puyallup, reports The News Tribune.

Authorities blocked off train crossings at 5th Street, 7th Street and 12th Street shortly after receiving a call about the incident at 10:17 a.m.

Few details have been reported at this time, but a pedestrian was reported to have been on the railway tracks when they were hit by a train.

Puyallup Police asked the public to avoid the area as an investigation was conducted around the stopped train.
