Pedestrian severely injured after being hit by driver downtown

SEATTLE, WA – A pedestrian was severely injured after being hit by a car in downtown Seattle early Thursday morning, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The crash occurred in the 900 block of James Street, near 9^th Avenue at 12:46 a.m., when a pedestrian was struck by a driver.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center for the treatment of severe, life-threatening injuries.

The driver was found not to be impaired.
