Person dead after early-morning crash on SR-99 tunnel

SEATTLE, WA – One person was killed in an collision on the State Route 99 tunnel early yesterday morning, according to KOMO News.

The crash occurred on northbound SR-99, near Mercer Street, at about 3:15 a.m., when a lone vehicle crashed, causing one person to be trapped within the wreckage.

The driver died at the scene.

The cause of the crash was not immediately available.
