Serious collision on South 56th and South Oakes sends 1 to hospital

TACOMA, WA – One woman was taken to the hospital after attempting to make an unprotected left turn on South 56th and South Oakes Saturday that resulted in a collision.

According to South Sound News, the accident happened around 10 p.m. Saturday evening when the driver of a sedan tried to turn left into the path of an oncoming SUV. The SUV struck the sedan, knocking it into a third car that was waiting at the traffic light. Tacoma Police said the causing driver in the sedan was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.
