Tacoma hit-and-run driver flees after injuring pedestrian

TACOMA, WA – A 45-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver near a Tacoma intersection in the evening on Tuesday.

According to KIRO 7 News Seattle, the man was crossing the street at the intersection of South 34th Street and Fawcett Avenue when he was struck.

The driver left the pedestrian lying at the scene and fled.

When authorities arrived, they transported the victim to an area hospital with injuries that were considered life-threatening. An update on his condition is not yet available.

Descriptions of the hit-and-run driver or vehicles were not available.
