Three injured after pre-dawn I-90 crash on Mercer Island

MERCER ISLAND, WA – Three people sustained injuries in the two-vehicle Interstate 90 accident reported on Mercer Island early on Monday morning.

According to the Mercer Island Reporter, the two vehicles involved in the high-speed crash were headed west on I-90 and crashed near East Mercer Way at about 2:30 a.m.

Three people were taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries after the crash.

A woman and two men fled from one of the involved vehicles. Police were able to apprehend each of them and take them into custody.

Several lanes and the East Mercer Way onramp were blocked for hours on Monday morning.

An investigation is ongoing.
