Train kills pedestrian near railroad crossing in Monroe
Request Free ConsultationMONROE, WA – A train struck and killed a pedestrian at a railroad crossing in Monroe on Friday morning, according to KIRO 7 News Seattle.
The accident happened to the east of where the railroad tracks cross East Main Street at about 6:15 a.m.
The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Snohomish investigators reported that the crossings at East Main St., North Lewis St., and North Kelsey St. would all be closed for hours on Friday morning for an ongoing investigation. Other crossings would be open for drivers to get into downtown Monroe.
