Two people killed in weekend crash near Gig Harbor

PIERCE COUNTY, WA – Two young adults were killed when their vehicle went off the road and crashed with two trees in Artondale on Saturday.

According to KIRO 7 News Seattle, the crash happened near the corner of 83rd Avenue Northwest and 40th Street Northwest. The driver of the vehicle lost control and the car ran up the guidewire of a utility pole. The vehicle struck two trees as well, before landing about 10 feet down an embankment.

The two people inside the car, both persons in their 20s, were killed.
