UPDATE: Police did not pursue injured motorcyclist, says PIO
Request Free ConsultationSEATTLE, WA – Police did not pursue the motorcyclist who was injured in Mercer Island yesterday, according to the Public Information Officer for the Washington State Patrol’s second district.
This post updates an earlier story.
At no point was the motorcycle being pursued by law enforcement. The rider suffers non-life threatening injuries and is being transported to the hospital. The ramp WB 90 to 80th will be closed for at least an hour. More updates to come.

The motorcyclist, who had a warrant out for their arrest, sped off after noticing police in the vicinity of I-90 and 148th Avenue, reaching speeds of 130 mph. They crashed near I-90 and 80th Avenue, suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
